The book of Mark 8:36 inquires: “And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process?” There is the need to strike a balance in order to become all that God wants us to be. SHALOM!

1. SPIRITUAL INVESTMENT VEHICLES

(A) FIRST FRUITS:

The book of Exodus 13:1-2 writes:

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Consecrate to Me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.

The Bible records through the book of Exodus 13: 11-16:

And it shall be, when the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as He swore to you and your fathers, and gives it to you.

That you shall set apart to the LORD all that open the womb, that is, every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have; the males shall be the LORD’s. But every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck.

And all the firstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem.” So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, “What is this?” that you should say to him, “By strength of hand the LORD brought us out Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem”. It shall be a sign on your hand and as frontlets between your eyes, for by strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt.

And the book of Romans 11:16 reads: “For if the first is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.”

The first fruit is a major foundational vehicle. It is giving the first of all things to God as a sign that you acknowledge His ownership of all things. Leviticus 23: 9-12 records:

Then the LORD told Moses to give these instructions to the Israelites: “When you arrive in the land I am giving you and you harvest your first crops, bring the priest some grain from the first portion of your grain harvest. On the day after the Sabbath, the priest will lift it up before the LORD so it may be accepted on your behalf. That same day you must sacrifice a year-old male lamb with no physical defects as a whole burnt offering to the LORD.

* Your first Salary.

* Your first Harvest.

* Your first Income from every labor

* Your first increase in every new level.

* Your first child (to be redeemed with money).

* Your first Car (to be redeemed with money).

* Your first House (to be redeemed with money)

* Your first Income every year, etc.
